1. Prayer Fellowship – Join with us in prayer as we pray for our church, our world and for each other. We meet tomorrow, Sat. Oct 13 at 8am in the library.
2. “Building on the Rock” scripture this Sunday – Revelation 8
During this year, we invite the congregation to read and meditate on scripture and to “Build” on the teachings of our Lord. Join us in reading the book of Revelation.
3. Christian Fitness: Becoming Light – Paul McKechnie's Sunday Group is underway again. We invite you to the Fireside Room on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. to join in the discussion. You will be interested to know that Paul will be the keynote speaker at the Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, November 8. The Thursday Morning Men’s Small Group is planning to attend, and we invite others to join us for this annual community event. 4. Baptism of Adler Kell Smith – At our traditional service at 10:30am this Sunday, we will baptize Adler Kell Smith, infant son of Ryan and Melissa, and Oren’s little brother. We give thanks to God for another new member of the St. Paul’s family and pray for Ryan and Melissa, and all our young parents nurturing their children in the love of Christ. Everyone is invited to have a piece of cake during coffee hour after the service to celebrate with the family.
5. Family Fellowship – Families with young children are invited to come to Campbell Hall this Sunday at 4:00 p.m. for family fellowship. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to play together and for parents to experience warm fellowship. We always end with a great potluck dinner. (We conclude around 6:00 p.m.)
6. St. Paul's Book Circle is hosting a movie night on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Youth Room. We will be showing Pilgrim's Progress: Journey to Heaven, a contemporary adaptation and dramatization of Bunyan's classic work, as relevant today as when it was written in 1678. Follow Christian, an everyday character, as he travels from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City and be encouraged in your own journey! 7. Missions Crafts Group Workshop – Please join us for coffee, tea, muffins and fellowship on Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Fireside Room. The Missions Crafts Group will demonstrate how to prepare and make milk bag mats for the “Mats for Haiti Project”. Try your hand at cutting milk bags and/or learning how to crochet! No experience needed. Please see the Ministry Opportunities Board in the narthex for details. We certainly appreciate the donated milk bags, but please – do remember to fold them FLAT only ONCE. (It takes SO much effort to flatten them out later!)
8. Go for His Glory – Join together and celebrate His Glory being spread throughout the world by remembering our Missions Family this Fall. Be a part of sharing God’s Glory by attending the following activities:

Oct 28: A special Mission-themed Soupwich with a “human library” of Missionaries
9. Seniors’ Luncheon – All seniors are invited to our next luncheon in Campbell Hall on October 24 at noon. Please join us for good food and warm fellowship. A freewill offering will be taken to cost the costs. Please register by signing the sheet on the table in the narthex so we can determine the amount of food we need. Entertainment will be provided by “Mostly Bows”!
10. Soupwich – Everyone is invited to Soupwich in Campbell Hall after the second service on Sunday, October 28. Please bring enough sandwiches for you and your family PLUS one extra for a guest. Don’t forget to bring your uncut sandwiches to the kitchen BEFORE the service so we can cut them and arrange them on plates. Join us for good food and warm fellowship.
11. Newcomer’s Luncheon – If you are new to St. Paul’s since spring, summer or fall of 2012, we’d love to meet you at our Newcomer’s Luncheon being held on Sunday, November 4 after the second service. We will be serving lunch in the Jubilee Room at 12 noon. A sign-up sheet will be available in the narthex after the service.
12. Pioneer Prayer Pals and Helpers – We are in the process of pairing up our Pioneers with caring friends from our St. Paul's family who will commit to praying for their "pal" throughout the year. If you are interested in being a part of this vital ministry, please speak with Ghislaine Maclennan (613-596-0365). You will be a blessing and you will be blessed! 13. The Nursery is in Need of Volunteers – If you love interacting with our youngest members, please consider joining our vibrant and growing ministry.
