1. St. Paul’s Work Day – Tomorrow, Saturday, October 27 (8:00 a.m. to noon)
Volunteers are needed to complete some necessary tasks around the church. Work will be done both inside and out. No experience necessary! Inside tasks include carpet cleaning.  For the outside tasks, please bring some work gloves and a rake. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Please join us and help prepare the church property for the winter while you share warm fellowship and good food.
 
2. “Building on the Rock” scripture this Sunday – Matthew 28: 16-20
During this year, we invite the congregation to read and meditate on scripture and to “Build” on the teachings of our Lord.
 
3. Go for His Glory – Join together and celebrate His Glory being spread throughout the world by remembering our Missions Family this Fall. Be a part of sharing God’s Glory by attending the following activities:
 
Oct 28: Special guest – Jill Wilson from Urban Christian Outreach. A special Mission-themed Soupwich with a “human library” of Missionaries
 
Nov 1: Pioneers’ Mission Night


Nov 4: Both worship services will feature many activities including a live conversation with one of our Mission family members. Sunday School classes will feature a Mission theme. Family Fellowship (4pm – 6pm) will include a Mission focus

4. Soupwich – Everyone is invited to Soupwich in Campbell Hall after the second service this Sunday, October 28. Please bring enough sandwiches for you and your family PLUS one extra for a guest. Don’t forget to bring your uncut sandwiches to the kitchen BEFORE the service so we can cut them and arrange them on plates. Join us for good food and warm fellowship.
 
5. Time Change – Don’t forget to set your clocks BACK one hour before you go to bed next Saturday night (November 3).
 
6. Newcomer’s Luncheon – If you are new to St. Paul’s since spring, summer or fall of 2012, we’d love to meet you at our Newcomer’s Luncheon being held on Sunday, November 4 after the second service. We will be serving lunch in the Jubilee Room at 12 noon. A sign-up sheet will be available in the narthex after the service.
 
7. Family Fellowship – next Sunday, November 4 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church. All families with young children are invited for a potluck dinner and fellowship. For further information please contact Geoff Colman at 613-722-5630 or rtoppscolman@gmail.com.

 
8. Join us at the Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast – Paul McKechnie will be the keynote speaker at the Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, November 8.  The Thursday Morning Men’s Small Group is planning to attend, and we invite others to join us for this annual community event.  Please  contact Jack for details at pastor@stpaulspcottawa.com or 613-729-3384.

 
9. Christmas for Women – On Saturday, November 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., all women are invited to a Christmas event entitled “Merry Christmas from Our House to Your House”. SEE Campbell Hall’s extreme makeover into a warm and inviting home-like setting. The SCENTS of the season will tempt you to TASTE the foods we so enjoy at Christmas. You will be TOUCHED by the friendship of women of all ages. The Christmas music you HEAR will warm your spirit. It promises to be a time to relax together as we remember why Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. 10. "Thriving Family" Magazine is here – The latest family magazine issue from Focus on the Family has arrived. Along with many helpful articles, Thriving Family also provides a section of family devotionals. We invite all families with children to try a family devotional. Discover the benefits of building your family on the Rock of Jesus Christ. Pick up a copy in the narthex before they are gone.
 
11.
