Soupwich – Everyone is invited to Soupwich in Campbell Hall after the second service this Sunday, February 23. Please bring enough sandwiches for you and your family PLUS one extra for a guest. Please bring your uncut sandwiches to the kitchen before the service so we can cut and arrange them on plates. Soup will be provided.

St. Paul’s Annual General Meeting – St. Paul’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for this Monday, February 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. We invite everyone to attend this meeting regarding the business of St. Paul’s. St. Paul’s 2013 Annual Report is available online at the church website – www.stpaulspcottawa.com . Hard copies of the report will be available this Sunday, Feb. 23.
Seniors’ Luncheon – Our next Seniors’ Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26. All seniors are invited to join us at noon for a lovely lunch. Please register by signing the sheet on the table at the entrance to the Resource Centre so we can determine the amount of food we need. A free-will offering will be taken to cover costs. After lunch, we will be entertained by “Magic Ricky”.

The Power of Praying Together – Rob Parker Sr. from the National House of Prayer is invited back to St. Paul’s to provide another workshop on the power of praying with a group. Join us on Sunday, March 2 at 7pm in the Jubilee room to learn and practice corporate prayer.
Prayer in the Season of Lent – The season of Lent will soon be upon us. Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten season on March 5. The season of Lent is a time to reflect upon the journey of Jesus to the cross. During the Lenten season we invite you to join us for Lenten Prayer Vigils on Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Our first Prayer Vigil will be on Sunday, March 9 when we will offer “Prayers for Healing”.
Men’s Breakfast – We are excited to welcome Laurie Boschman, a former captain of the Ottawa Senators, as our guest speaker to talk about the “Game of Life: Lessons on Hockey and Faith”. Join us at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8 in Campbell Hall for a delicious breakfast and a great talk. Guys of all ages are welcome. A free-will offering will be accepted. A sign-up sheet is available in the narthex.
The OMF Prayer Group – Our next meeting will be on March 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Ratanak Meeting – The next prayer meeting for Ratanak is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Catherine de la Cruz, a missionary with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) will be our guest speaker. She will share her experiences while in Cambodia. Everyone is welcome to hear this inspirational woman.
Membership and Congregational Participation – Membership is an indication of your commitment to this church. To become a member, please contact Rev. Phil Kim at 613-729-3384 or phil@stpaulspcottawa.com. Eventually we will receive a visit from a candidate who will preach for the call to be our next Senior Minister after which members of the congregation will be asked to meet to vote for the candidate. After a strong positive vote, both members and non-members will be asked to sign the call support document.
Prayer Support Available – Prayer support is available at the conclusion of both the 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. A prayer team is available at the front after every service. This is a personal opportunity to share your thanksgiving and concerns in prayer.
Thank You St. Paul’s – It's so nice to belong to a family like St. Paul's church! Thank you to the congregation for the visits at the hospital and all the phone calls, cards and food I received during my illness. I am doing much better and hope to be back at church in March. A special thank you to Hilda Wylie for managing the hospitality following our services. Eleanor Hastings
