1.    Prayer Fellowship – Join us in prayer tomorrow, Sat. Sept 22 at 8am as we pray for each other, our church and our world.


2.    “Building on the Rock” scripture this Sunday – Revelation 4 to 7

During this year, we invite the congregation to read and meditate on scripture and to “Build” on the teachings of our Lord. Currently, the teaching from the pulpit will be from the book of Revelation. Follow along with us in discovering this significant book in the Bible.


3.    Shall We Gather at the River – This Sunday, after the second worship service, Jack will be baptizing Carrie Marston in the Ottawa River!  Everyone is invited to join us as Carrie takes this significant step in her Christian pilgrimage and to pray for her as she acknowledges God’s grace and testifies to her faith in Christ.


4.    Women’s Tuesday Morning Small Group – starts September 25. All women are welcome to join us at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25 in the Fireside Room as we resume our study on the Book of Acts. Questions? Please call Marian Archibald at 613-225-6230.


5.    Seniors’ Luncheon – Wednesday, September 26 at noon. All seniors are invited to the first Seniors’ Luncheon of the Fall season. Please join us for good food and fellowship at our “Fall Meet and Greet Luncheon”.  Meet new friends and greet old friends too! A free-will offering will be taken to cover our costs. Please don’t forget to register on the sign-up sheet on the table in the Resource Room entrance so we know how much food to prepare. We look forward to seeing you on the 26th.


6.    Congregational Meeting – The congregation is invited to attend an important meeting on Sunday, September 30 (after the traditional worship service) regarding the hiring of a part-time Children's Pastor. We are following up from the meeting we had in the early summer. We will meet again to answer any questions. We will conclude the meeting with a congregational vote. 


7.    Invitation for Submissions to Focus – We are preparing the Fall edition of Focus, our church newsletter. You are invited to submit items to focus@storm.ca or contact Ruth Whitehead at 613-731-9786 or rwhitehead@rogers.com.


8.    St. Paul's Book Circle is hosting a movie night on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Youth Room. We will be showing Pilgrim's Progress: Journey to Heaven, a contemporary adaptation and dramatization of Bunyan's classic work, as relevant today as when it was written in 1678.  Follow Christian, an everyday character, as he travels from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City and be encouraged in your own journey!  The sign-up sheet is available in the narthex, next to Scripture Union.  For further information, please contact Mary Anne Marston at 613-592-9171.


9.    Help for Pioneer Clubs – Thank you for your prayers for the Pioneer Clubs as we begin a brand new season. We are still looking for one co-leader, as well as friends who are willing to be Pioneer Prayer Pals. As a Prayer Pal, you are asked to pray for one child throughout the year. You would also be invited to join us for two very special evenings (November and April) where you will spend time getting to know your Pal. Please consider volunteering for this important ministry. 10. A New Arrival – We are celebrating a birth in the St. Paul’s family. Sara and John Hertwig-Jaksche welcomed Markus Christian on Monday, a brother for Sophia and Elise.  May God bless this young family and give them much joy and grace as they nurture their little ones in the faith.


11. St Paul's Website Renovation – We are currently renovating our church website. Check out www.stpaulspcottawa.com. You'll find some new features as well as features that you have relied on in the past. We hope this website will be useful to regulars at St Paul's as well as those who are curious.
