1.  Epicentre Student Ministry – Once again the youth are joining World Vision in their 30-Hour Famine event today, Fri. April 12 and 13 to raise funds for the prevention of child abuse and other rights violations in Southeast Asia. Over the next few Sundays the youth will be in Campbell Hall raising pledges. 3. A Final Sermon Series – This Sunday, Jack will begin his final series of sermons at St. Paul’s appropriately titled “The Last Word.” In seven studies we’ll examine Paul’s 2nd letter to Timothy, his farewell message to his young protégé, and consider lessons to be learned and applied.
 
4. Family Fellowship – This Sunday, 4:00 p.m. at Mud Lake. Family Fellowship will be meeting at Mud Lake for a short walk suitable for all ages at 4:00 p.m. This will be followed by a picnic supper back at the church.  Come with rubber boots, weather appropriate gear and the food you need for your family. 5. Welcome Jonah – Congratulations to the Miles Family on the birth of Jonah William Miles born on April 8.

7. Finance Update – The Finance Team reports the financial position for the year to date ending March 31, 2013:

Giving Goal January through March          $146,902
Amount Given to End of March                     134,786
Total Expenses                                                     137,301

Year to date income is about 2% below the same period last year, which is of concern to the Board and Session in this transition year.  Contributions are below the planned goal for this time of year. We continue to encourage prayerful contributions to our congregation’s mission work. The congregation’s “Pre-Authorized Remittance” (PAR) program is an excellent method of managing your contributions. Finance Team
 
8. Prayer Fellowship meeting – Saturday, April 20, 8:00 a.m. Everyone is invited to join us as we pray for our church and those who need special prayer.
 
9. Seniors’ Luncheon – Join us for good food and warm fellowship on Wednesday, April 24 at noon in Campbell Hall. Please sign the sheet on the table at the entrance to the Resource Room so we can determine quantities of food. A free-will offering will be taken to help cover expenses. 
 
10. St. Paul’s Clean-Up Day – Saturday, May 4 (8:00 a.m. to noon). Volunteers are desperately needed to complete some necessary tasks around the church. Please consider helping your church! Work will be done mostly outside. No experience necessary! Please bring some work gloves and a rake, if you can. Snacks and a delicious lunch will be provided. Join us and help prepare the church property for spring while you share warm fellowship and good food.
 
11. Freud’s Last Session – St. Paul’s will be the venue for 9th Hour Theatre Company’s latest intriguing production, “Freud’s Last Session” from May 3 to 5.  Check out details on the bulletin board and in next week’s bulletin insert. Mark your calendars now and invite family and friends to join you.  Tickets will cost $10 each.
 
12. Summer Camp 2013, “Sonsurf” – JK to Grade 4 – Tentative Date: July 15 to 19. As usual, we need congregational support and enthusiasm for this program in order for it to run. If you can commit to helping for this week, please contact Evelyn Pike, Andrea Jones or Stuart Miles.
