1. Prayer Fellowship Meeting – Our next Prayer Fellowship meeting will be tomorrow, Saturday, April 6 at 8:00 a.m. in the Resource Centre. Please join us as we pray for our church, our community, our world, missions and those in the congregation who need special prayer.
2. Scripture for this Sunday – Luke 24: 36-53
3. Welcome Judy Jack – This Sunday, we welcome Judy Jack as our Children’s Pastor. Judy joins us from Pictou, Nova Scotia, and brings with her much experience in working with children and in other areas of church ministry. Judy will be set apart for her work at a Service of Designation this Sunday, when she will share her approach and plans for the Christian nurture of our children. Take the time to get to know her and her husband, Lloyd, and pray for Judy in her critical ministry.
4. A Final Sermon Series – Jack will begin his final series of sermons at St. Paul’s on Sunday, Apr 14 appropriately titled “The Last Word.” In seven studies we’ll examine Paul’s 2nd letter to Timothy, his farewell message to his young protégé, and consider lessons to be learned and applied.
5. Next Book Circle Meeting – Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. We'll be learning about Charles H. Spurgeon, a 19th-century builder of churches and minister in South London during the Victorian era. Despite his frequent absences from the pulpit due to ill health and personal "borders of despair", he was preferred over all others and considered to be the "Prince of Preachers". Join us and be inspired by this hero of the faith! You are encouraged to read any book written by him or a biography. The Resource Room staff are happy to assist you with suggestions of titles.
6. Invitation to Pioneer Clubs Prayer Pals – Thursday, April 11 is Pal Night at Pioneer Clubs. We invite all Pioneer Prayer Pals to join with the Pioneers in Campbell Hall at 6:45 p.m. for a time of singing some of our favourite club songs, some time to reacquaint with your pals, and also for "Snack time". We look forward to seeing you! For more information please call or email Janet Mabie (613-825-5239 or jfmabie@yahoo.ca).
7. Epicentre Student Ministry – Once again we are joining World Vision in their 30-Hour Famine event on April 12 and 13 to raise funds for the prevention of child abuse and other rights violations in Southeast Asia. Over the next few Sundays the youth will be in Campbell Hall raising pledges. If you are able, please consider supporting this initiative. Last year we were able to raise a total of $10,000! Jeremy Sauvé, Youth Pastor
