4.   Campaign 308 – Did you know that there are currently 308 members of Parliament? Do you know who the federal Member of Parliament is for your riding? Canada Day (July 1) is approaching soon. St. Paul’s has been invited  to join Campaign 308 along with other churches and the National House of Prayer. Campaign 308 is looking for 308 churches to pray for 308 MP’s in our parliament. Will you join us in praying for the leaders of our nation?
If you would like to know who the MP is in your riding, simply go to www.parl.gc.ca, then join us on Sunday, June 30 as we “Pray for our Nation”.  For more information on Campaign 308 and the National House of Prayer, please visit: nhop.ca

5.   “Made in God’s Image” – Next Sunday, June 23, we will have a single worship service at 10:30 a.m. We will celebrate the Sunday School with a presentation called “Made in God’s Image”. The congregation is cordially invited to join the children for an Ice Cream Social in Campbell Hall following the worship service.
Single services held at 10:30 a.m. will continue throughout the summer months. On September 15 we will return to two services (Contemporary at 9:00 a.m. and Traditional at 10:30 a.m.).

6.   Summer Refreshment Volunteers Needed – Starting on Sunday, June 30, we will need volunteers to serve juice during the fellowship time after the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Don’t worry, you will not be asked to wash dishes. You only need to serve the juice which is stored in the fridge. Here’s a very easy way to serve your church – and you can make more friends in the process! Please sign the sheet in the narthex.

7.   Congregational Questionnaire – As the Search Team begins its work to find a new Senior Minister, they would like your input . . . what skills do you think our new Minister should have? . . . what areas of ministry should we focus on? etc. To assist in this information gathering process the team would request everyone, high school age and above, to complete the Congregational Questionnaire which you’ll find in the attachment along with a letter. Please put your completed questionnaire in the box marked “Completed Congregational Questionnaire” which is in the Narthex.  All questionnaires should be returned by June 30, 2013. Thank you for your assistance in this important part of the search process.  Also, please pray for the Team, for the person God is calling to be our new Senior Minister and, of course, for the ongoing ministry at St. Paul’s.

8.   Treasurer Required – The Board of Managers is seeking someone called by God to take on the role of Treasurer, effective August 1, 2013.  The Treasurer works with other Finance Team members to manage the congregation’s finances, supporting ministry and outreach programs.  The applicant should be knowledgeable of accounting policies and procedures, with experience in registered charities accounting favoured. Training will be provided. The time commitment is three to four hours per week.
