2.   Robin Shugart this Sunday, Robin will provide an update on her ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF). She will be available after the Sunday services to meet with people interested in hearing more about her ministry as IVCF team leader on the University of Manitoba campus and with high school ministry in Winnipeg. 3.   Book Circle – Everyone is invited to attend our Book Circle in the Fireside Room from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10. We will be discussing a book titled I Dared to Call Him Father: The Miraculous Story of a Muslim Woman’s Encounter with God.  In the crossroads of her life, author Bilquis Sheikh asked herself: How do I give myself to God completely and what happens when I do? Poignant, powerful and simply told, it is a classic in Muslim evangelism. Please join us for a fascinating discussion about this book and its implications.

4.   International Student Ministries Requires Billets – Tim Stevens, staff person with International Student Ministries (ISM) has asked if any St. Paul’s families would be able to accommodate one couple and four individual students coming to Ottawa for an event, arriving June 20th and departing on Sunday, June 23.  If you are able to help, please contact Rev. Phil Kim at the church.

5.   Campaign 308 – Did you know that there are currently 308 members of Parliament? Do you know who the federal Member of Parliament is for your riding? Canada Day (July 1) is approaching soon. St. Paul’s has been invited  to join Campaign 308 along with other churches and the National House of Prayer. Campaign 308 is looking for 308 churches to pray for 308 MP’s in our parliament. Will you join us in praying for the leaders of our nation? If you would like to know who the MP is in your riding, simply go to www.parl.gc.ca, then join us on Sunday, June 30 as we “Pray for our Nation”.  For more information on Campaign 308 and the National House of Prayer, please visit: www.nhop.ca

6.   St. Paul’s SonSurf Beach BashJuly 15 to 19 – 9:00 a.m. to noon. Children from Jr.-K to Grade 4 are invited to attend St. Paul’s SonSurf Beach Bash (Summer Camp) for Bible stories, music, crafts, games and snacks. Cost: $10.00 per child or $20.00 per family. Preregistration is required. You can download a registration form from our website. Only 80 children can be accommodated, so do not delay! Please note that we still need volunteers, so please sign the sheet on the bulletin board in Campbell Hall or speak directly to Judy Jack (Children’s Pastor).

7.   Appointment of Search Committee – After careful deliberation and prayer, Session has appointed the following representatives of the congregation to constitute a Search Committee:Muriel Barrington         Geoff Coleman

Working with the Interim Moderator, Shaun Seaman, the Committee will begin the process to find a new Senior Minister for St Paul’s. The Committee will be soliciting input from the congregation, but you should feel free to contact them with your questions, comments or suggestions. It is important to note the Search Committee is a committee of Session and will be providing regular updates on progress to Session who will in turn update the Congregation.
Please pray for the members of the Search Committee, for the person God is calling to be our new Senior Minister and, of course, for the ongoing ministry at St Paul’s.

8.   Treasurer Required – The Board of Managers is seeking someone called by God to take on the role of Treasurer, effective August 1, 2013.  The Treasurer works with other Finance Team members to manage the congregation’s finances, supporting ministry and outreach programs.  The applicant should be knowledgeable of accounting policies and procedures, with experience in registered charities accounting favoured. 9.   Workers in the Lord’s Harvest – Please pray for the following people who will be serving in various mission projects:

Robin Shugart
Robin will be moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba to be a Team Leader, which is a position that is new to Inter-Varsity and involves supervising and leading staff, while also continuing to minister directly to students in a campus role.  In Winnipeg, Robin will work alongside another Team Leader to direct the Undergraduate, High School, and International Student Ministries by providing vision, developing strategy, and supervising a few staff. She will also continue to develop student leaders and share the gospel on campus at the University of Manitoba through scripture study, community gatherings, and mentorship of students.

Carrie Marston
Carrie is going to Peru for a short mission trip from June 29 to July 21 with Big World Ventures. Carrie will be working with a team to present the gospel to Peruvians in various ways. She will also be involved in a number of compassion ministries. Please pray for Carrie before and during her trip. Carrie will provide a short report to the congregation on Sunday, June 23.
