1. Community Garage Sale at St. Paul’s – tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in St. Paul’s parking lot. We hope to familiarize the neighbourhood surrounding St. Paul’s with our facilities and programs and to raise funds for The Mission. The youth will sell a BBQ lunch and Pioneers will offer coffee and a treat. Please pray for good weather and strong community involvement for this event.
2. The Sacrament of Holy Baptism – we will share the joy of baptism at St. Paul’s at the traditional service at 10:30am as Michael and Patricia bring their daughter Sophia to the font to celebrate God’s grace and dedicate themselves to her Christian nurture.
3. Blessings and Prayers – Heather Culbert and Joshua Smith will be married on Sunday, May 19. We wish to congratulate the couple on their upcoming wedding. May the Lord bless them as they begin their journey together.
4. Single Service on May 26 – Sunday, May 26 will be Jack’s final day in the pulpit at St. Paul’s after a ministry spanning more than 14 years. The Session would like to have the whole church family together for that significant day, so have decided to hold a single service to which all are invited at the usual time of 10:30 a.m.
5. You’re Invited – A farewell party will be held for Marian and Jack Archibald at St. Paul's on Saturday, June 1, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please join us for dessert and fellowship in Campbell Hall, followed by a program in the sanctuary.
6. Carrie’s Book and Mission Trip – Carrie Marston has published her first book, titled Catch Me If You Can, for teenaged girls. A copy has been donated to the church library. She would love to talk to you about the experience of writing her book and has copies for sale as well. Carrie is also going on a short mission trip to Peru this summer.
