2.   Blessings and Prayers – Heather Culbert and Joshua Smith will be married on Sunday, May 19. We wish to congratulate the couple on their upcoming wedding. May the Lord bless them as they begin their journey together.
 
3.   A Memorial Service for Ruth Whitehead – A Memorial Service for Ruth Whitehead, our dear friend and devoted servant of Christ, will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s.  We give thanks to God for Ruth and pray for all who deeply grieve her death.
 
4.   New Day is Expanding – The Alcoholics Anonymous group known as “New Day” that meets at St. Paul’s every weekday morning at 7:30 from Monday to Friday is expanding to Saturdays and Sundays starting this week. We wish them well as they continue this vital ministry helping people cope with this disease, with God’s help.
 
5.   Prayer Fellowship Meeting – Our next Prayer Fellowship meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 25 at 8:00 a.m. in the Resource Room.  Everyone is welcome to join us as we pray for personal concerns, members of the congregation and community, as well as national and global issues.
 
6.   Single Service on May 26Sunday, May 26 will be Jack’s final day in the pulpit at St. Paul’s after a ministry spanning more than 14 years.  The Session would like to have the whole church family together for that significant day, so have decided to hold a single service to which all are invited at the usual time of 10:30 a.m.
 
7.   Family Fellowship Meeting – The Family Fellowship Group will meet at the church on Sunday, May 26 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All families with young children are invited for a potluck dinner and fellowship. 8.   You’re Invited – A farewell party will be held for Marian and Jack Archibald at St. Paul's on Saturday, June 1, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Please join us for dessert and fellowship in Campbell Hall, followed by a program in the sanctuary. Please do not forget to sign up to make a pie for the reception. The sign-up sheet is posted on a board in the narthex.
 
9.   St. Paul’s first Community Garage Sale held on May 11 raised $356 for the homeless at The Mission. Despite the cool, rainy weather, this demonstrated the willingness of our community to share with the less fortunate. A number of people were introduced to our facilities and programs and we hope to see some of them in the future. The organizing committee thanks all those volunteers who performed a wide range of tasks to make this event possible.
 
10. Recordings of Jack’s Final Series – a CD package of all seven sermons from Jack’s final series, “The Last Word” will be available. If you are interested in this series, for which there would be no charge, please sign the list by the Resource Centre.
 
11. Carrie’s Book and Mission Trip – Carrie Marston has published her first book, titled Catch Me If You Can, for teenaged girls. A copy has been donated to the church library. She would love to talk to you about the experience of writing her book and has copies for sale as well. Carrie is also going on a short mission trip to Peru this summer.
