1.    This SundayPhil Kim will teach from Luke 10:1-2, 19:1-10. Phil will be teaching a series called “The Harvest”. This Sunday will be “Part One – Scatter the Gospel in Friendship”.
 
2.   Preaching Schedule – during the transition period at St Paul’s, Phil Kim and Ian Shugart will share the pulpit to provide the teaching from scripture.

3.   Summer Fun Activity for Children this Sunday – the children will enjoy crafts and a snack when they leave the Sanctuary after the Children’s Time.
 
4.   The Loss of Elizabeth Guishard – We are saddened to announce that Elizabeth passed away on Thursday night. A memorial service will be held in Montreal and a burial service will be held in Ottawa. Currently, there are no further details to provide but we will update the congregation soon. We thank the Lord that Elizabeth is now at peace in His presence.
 
5.   Prayer Fellowship Meeting – Please join us on Saturday, September 7 at 8:00 a.m. as we take one hour to pray for our church, community, world, missions and those in our congregation who need special prayer.
 
6.   Women’s CAFE (Come And Find Encouragement) – Please join us on Saturday, September 7 at 9:15 a.m. in the Fireside Room as we pray for each other and our children as they go back to school. Please contact Anne Kim at annekim_1@hotmail.com for more details.
 
7.   St. Paul’s “Welcome Fun Fair” – We welcome everyone back from the summer with a welcoming fun fair on Sunday, Sept 8.  Our worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch and activities from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You are invited to bring and enjoy your picnic lunch as you visit with friends, both new and old. We will provide cold drinks and fruit for all. If it’s a nice day and you want to eat outside, please bring your own lawn chairs. Inflatables will be set up on the grass for the children and teenagers to have fun. Each inflatable comes with operators from the company who ensure the smooth running and safety of activities. There will be a bouncy castle for young children, an obstacle course for older children and teens, and a dunk tank for all fun-loving people.
 
8.   Registration for Fall Programs – during the Welcome Fun Fair on September 8,  tables will be set up in the narthex with information on St. Paul’s fall activities for children, teens and adults. Representatives will be there to answer questions. Registration will take place for Sunday School, Pioneers, and Small Groups.
 
9.   Tuesday Morning Women’s Small Group – There will be a meeting for the members of the Tuesday morning Women’s Small Group on September 10 at 9:30 a.m. For enquiries please contact Judy Ross 819-777-7757 or Erma Seekings 613-728-9402.

11. Contemporary and Traditional Services – On September 15 we will return to having two services each week: 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship and 10:30 a.m. Traditional Worship. Communion will be served on September 15.
 
12.Seniors’ Luncheon – Seniors are in for a special treat at noon on September 25. Allan McGuirl from Galcom International will be here again to challenge us all with the tiny and amazing fixed tuned solar powered radio/recorders God is using to spread His Word to the nations. Allan is interesting to listen to, often very amusing, and yes, challenging as he shares. All seniors are welcome. Do come for good food, warm fellowship and this special challenge from Galcom.
 
13.Ministry Opportunity – The Seniors’ Fellowship group at St. Paul's is looking for a Kitchen Coordinator to help prepare and serve food at their monthly luncheon meetings. The Coordinator's job is to plan monthly menus and provide recipes, shop for food and bring it to the church (receipts to be reimbursed) and prepare food, serve it and clean up afterwards. A great team is ready to assist you in the kitchen. This can be the same person, or the tasks can be divided between people. Interested?  Please contact Mary Anne Marston at (613-229-8010).
 
14.Apples for the Families – this is a great season for apple picking. The Family Fellowship at St Paul's would like to invite all the families with young children to Mountain Orchards (just south of Manotick) on Saturday, September 14. We will meet at the orchard at 10am. Directions to the orchard is available at www.mountainorchards.ca. Mountain Orchards is a great place for families with wagon rides, corn mazes and lots of sweet delights. 15.St. Paul’s Golf Fellowship – We invite everyone to a fun day of golf at Amberwood Golf Club on Saturday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. We will play 9 holes in “Best Ball” team format. The cost is $39.95 for golf and dinner, $22.60 for golf only, $28.75 for dinner only (dinner at 5:15 p.m). Please sign up in the narthex from September 8 and no later than September 17. 16.St. Paul's Book Circle – The Book Circle meets on the second Monday of every other month. Since our next meeting is scheduled for October 14 (Thanksgiving Day), we have moved it ahead to October 7. We will be discussing the book Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud. We would love to have you join us for our informal discussion and time of sharing thoughts and opinions on the book. It is always an informative and enjoyable evening. 17.NEW in the Resource Centre for Small Groups – Rick Warren's "What On Earth Am I Here For?" and "40 Days of Community" are now available in the Resource Centre for small groups to use.  Both sets contain a 6-session DVD and Study Guide and "40 Days" has an additional devotional resource for leaders. Please see a Library Desk volunteer for help in signing out these excellent resources.
 
18.Mark Thallander's new CD – To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Mark Thallander Trust (established following Mark's horrific 2003 car accident) Mark has produced a stunning new CD titled "Triumphant Tunes and Toccatas".  Many favourite hymns are included in exciting arrangements featuring organ, piano, trumpet and percussion. Don't miss the opportunity to get copies of this inspiring recording! Further details are posted on the bulletin board in the narthex. These CDs are available now at $20 each from our organist, Ross Dixon, or by contacting the church office. 
 
19.A Message from Victoria Mabie – Just a quick note to let you know that I have been accepted to Tyndale Seminary and will be moving to Toronto this coming week to complete a Master of Theological Studies. Thank you all for your prayers, support and encouragement as I have prepared for this new chapter of my life. I am truly blessed to have grown up in such an amazing and loving church family.
