- 2014 Offering Envelopes – The 2014 Offering Envelopes are ready for pick up in the Narthex this Sunday. Anyone who had envelope boxes of number 160 or above have been assigned new numbers. This has been done to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Effective January 1, 2014, please only use your new number as the old number will be inactive.
- Book Circle Meeting – The next meeting of the Book Circle will be held Monday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. We will be watching the DVD "Shadowlands” – a 1993 British biographical film about the relationship of C.S. Lewis with his wife and how her tragic death challenged Lewis' Christian faith. We will follow the film with a discussion of any biographies we have read on C.S. Lewis. Come and join us for an informal but lively meeting. As a small incentive, we will also be sharing some Christmas goodies. For further information please contact Carol Rourke at lovemyptcruiser@rogers.com.
- Emergency Appeal – The Presbyterian World Service and Development (PWS&D) is responding to the devastation in the aftermath of the typhoon that recently slammed into the Philippines. Your response will support the immediate needs of those affected. If you wish to make a donation, clearly mark your offering envelope “TYPHOON HAIYAN RELIEF”. Donations made by December 9 will be matched by the Canadian government.
- A New Small Group On Tuesdays – Barbara and Harry Norris are interested in starting a new small group in their home in the west-end (25 Aleutian Road) on Tuesdays. The $15.00 fee includes a wonderful turkey dinner with all of the fixings and special entertainment.
- The Hospitality Team needs YOUR help – Christmas cookies or squares are needed for the reception following “Joy to the World” on December 15. We’re also looking for five or six people to assist in the kitchen. If you can help please sign the poster located on the easel in the narthex.
- Photo Updates Until Dec. 15 – St. Paul’s Photo Directory needs to be updated. If you’re happy with your photo from the 2010 Directory, then we’ll reuse that photo – no need to let us know. Memory sticks of all of your photos taken will be available for $5.00. The new Photo Directory will cost $5.00. If you are new to St. Paul’s, we strongly encourage you to come and get your photo taken as this is a great way to get to know everyone. Starting in December, photos will be taken between the services as well, so do not delay and miss this wonderful opportunity.
- Childcare for Christmas Eve Services – The 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service is a family-oriented service called "A Christmas Prayer". There will be a Candle-Light Service at 7:00 p.m. Childcare for children up to age 3 will be available in the nursery for both services.
