1. Prayer Fellowship Meeting – Our next Prayer Fellowship meeting is tomorrow, Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 a.m. in the Resource Room. Everyone is welcome to join us as we pray for personal concerns, members of the congregation and community, as well as national and global issues. Our next Prayer Fellowship will be on Sat. July 20.
2. This Sunday – Phil Kim will be preaching from Galatians 6:7-8 and Matthew 6:14. Communion will also be served this Sunday.
3. Summer Fun Activity for Children this Sunday – The children are invited to take part in outdoor activities.
4. Sweat n Sweet – We are providing an evening program for preteens between Gr 5-8 from Tues-Thurs, July 16-18 running from 7 – 8:30pm. We will play sports. Life issues will be discussed and lots of snacks served. Registration is free. For those interested, please email or call the church office.
5. Sonsurf Summer Camp – As usual, our registration is reaching its maximum capacity. We urge all families to register by this Sunday before we have to close registration. Registration forms are available on the Children’s Ministry board in Campbell Hall.
We are still in need of a few more volunteers. Those interested in helping, please contact Judy at the church.
6. New Online Video Library – Our church is always looking for ways to serve you as you live out your faith throughout the week. To provide all of us greater access to resources, our church has recently purchased a new online video library called Right Now Media. We are inviting you to have a free account to this exciting new video library. You can watch a 2 minute video at www.rightnowmedia.org/launchplan. If you have not received an email invitation to this library, please email Phil at phil@stpaulspcottawa.com to receive your invitation and instructions for your login.
7. Help for an Algonquin Student – There is a student at Algonquin College from China. He is looking to rent a room from a Christian family living close to Algonquin College. If anyone can help, please contact the church office.
8. Exit Available at Back – As we switch to single services for the summer, we will encounter more traffic as we leave St Paul’s. To help the situation, we are reminding everyone that there is a back exit through the school property which exits out to Benjamin St.
9. Summer Refreshment Volunteers Needed – We still need volunteers to serve juice during the fellowship time after the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Don’t worry, you will not be asked to wash dishes. You only need to serve the juice which is stored in the fridge. Here’s a very easy way to serve your church – and you can make more friends in the process! Please sign the sheet in the narthex.
10. Volunteer Opportunity: Soupwich Coordinator – St. Paul's Soupwiches provide a timely and relaxed setting for our church community to meet and mingle over lunch. They assist in welcoming newcomers and in building our church community.
The Soupwich Coordinator's job is to contact small group leaders in the early fall to arrange a date for each group to provide the food, set up and clean up for one of the five soupwiches held in October, November, January, February and March. Before each soupwich, the coordinator will also arrange for the announcement in the weekly bulletins.
