17.MESSAGE FROM SESSION  – As most of you will know, for several years St. Paul’s has used the system of term eldership wherein every two years we elect one-third of the elders for a six-year term. Under normal circumstances the fall of 2013 would be an election year, however, our Interim Moderator advised that as we are in the midst of a search for a new Senior Minister, additional uncertainty and disruption is not in the best interest of St. Paul’s leadership at this time. Accordingly, after some discussion, Session would like to recommend to the congregation that the five elders whose term expires this year be asked to stay on for one additional year.  The five elders whose term would expire in 2013 include: Charlie Dickey, Evelyn Pike, Dan Seekings, John Stevenson and Ed Smith. All have indicated a willingness to serve for one more year should the congregation agree. If any members of the congregation have a concern with extending the term of these individuals for one year would you please let Session know by November 18.
