2. PRAYER FELLOWSHIP MEETING – Our next meeting will be tomorrow, Saturday, November 16 at 8:00 a.m. in the Resource Centre. Everyone is invited to join us as we pray for personal concerns, members of the congregation and community, as well as national and global issues.
3. THIS SUNDAY – Phil Kim will be preaching from Exodus 17:8-13. On Sunday, November 24, Ian Shugart will be our guest preacher. He will continue his series titled “LIFE IN THE CITY”. We will also be serving Communion on Nov. 24.
4. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – This Sunday is the deadline for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Please bring your boxes to the narthex and consider making a $7.00 donation to cover the shipping costs for your box. Thank you for your participation in this wonderful initiative.
5. ST. PAUL’S PRAYER WALL – We’re focusing on prayer this year, so don’t forget our Prayer Wall located in the narthex. Please sign your name on one of the days of the week and on that day, we ask that you pray for our church and the search for our next Senior Minister. Join with your family and pray for various individuals at the church. Join with us as we pray for our church daily.
6. PRAYER SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE – As our congregation focuses on prayer this year a Prayer Support Ministry will be available to the congregation, starting this Sunday. If you would like to have someone pray with you, please come to the front, right corner of the Sanctuary after the service. A prayer intercessor will be available to pray with you. The Prayer Support Ministry will be available after both the contemporary and traditional services.
7. THREE REASONS TO CELEBRATE:
Grace and Van Thompson celebrate the arrival of their first child, Benjamin Sheridan Thompson, born October 29, 2013.
Grandparents Judy and Gord Richardson are thrilled to announce the arrival of Beatrice Sarah Ann Richardson, born to Mark and Sarah Lee Richardson on November 9 in London, UK, a sister for Cameron and Jack. Beatrice means “Blessed, who brings joy”.
Our young missionary Grandparents, Beth and Scott Hurd, would like to announce the birth of their first grandchild, Samuel Robert Glenn, son of Anne and Coleman Glenn, on November 13.
8. PHOTO UPDATES CONTINUE – St. Paul’s Photo Directory needs to be updated. If you’re happy with your photo from the 2010 Directory, then we’ll reuse that photo – no need to let us know. Memory sticks of all of your photos taken will be available for $5.00. The new Photo Directory will cost $5.00. If you are new to St. Paul’s, we strongly encourage you to come and get your photo taken as this is a great way to get to know everyone. We will only be taking photos for a few Sundays, so do not delay and miss this opportunity.
9. GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER – Our "Guess Who is Coming to Dinner" is scheduled for this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15-17. Many thanks to those who are hosting meals.
10. ATTENTION PIONEER “PRAYER PALS” – Thursday, November 21 is “Pal Night” at Pioneer Clubs. If you are a Prayer Pal, you are invited to join the Pioneers in Campbell Hall at 6:45 p.m. for some singing, refreshments and a special time to get to know your pal(s). We hope to see you there.
11. SOUPWICH FELLOWSHIP – Everyone is invited to Soupwich being held in Campbell Hall after the second service on Sunday, November 24. Please bring enough sandwiches for you and your family PLUS one extra sandwich for a guest. Bring your uncut sandwiches to the kitchen before the service so we can cut and arrange them on plates. Soup will be provided.
12.REEL FAITH – You may think you have real faith but have you ever experienced Reel Faith? We will watch part 2 of a 3 part movie called “Search for the Real Jesus” on Nov. 24. We will meet in the sanctuary at 5 pm. This movie is a great resource for those who are curious about the Christian faith. A brochure is prepared for this Sunday. Please consider how you can invite others to this movie event.
13.RATANAK ANNUAL BAKE SALE – Come be a part of our Ratanak fundraiser. We are looking for bakers and supporters. For those who can bake, please drop off your treats at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church on Friday, November 29 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. OR at Salem Storehouse (1559 Merivale Rd.) on Saturday, November 30 between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. For those who would rather come and enjoy the goodies, we will be selling between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at Salem Bookstore. All proceeds go directly to Ratanak to rescue and rehabilitate those who have been a victim of human trafficking.
14.FAMILY FELLOWSHIP – Young families with children should mark Sunday, December 8 (4:00 p.m.) on their calendars for the next Family Fellowship.
15.SENIORS’ LUNCHEON – The next Seniors’ Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11 in Campbell Hall at noon. This will be our special Christmas luncheon. More details and a sign-up sheet will be provided soon. (The November Luncheon was cancelled.)
