Teen Challenge Canada is a 12-month, faith-based, residential substance abuse rehabilitation program with Centers located across Canada, serving both men and women. Set on 87 acres in King City (20 mins North of Toronto), our Women’s Centre started with our first student in 2008, had our official opening and dedication in September 2009, and now have capacity for 20 adult women. We also have room for 6 women in our post-graduate program, called Phase4, where graduates can deepen their recovery, gain valuable work experience and further plan their transition back into society.

The Teen Challenge Ontario Women’s Centre helps women to overcome addictions by developing the whole person. Students learn character and leadership skills, positive health and recreation behaviours, they learn to express themselves through the arts and are given the opportunity to develop life skills. This program also provides opportunities for students to learn planning and decision-making skills and to learn to contribute to Teen Challenge and the community.

We sense a very strong call to labour intensely in prayer for our program and the students in it.  With Christ at the Center, we feel called to help our students find healing and true transformation so that they may equipped to lead full and productive lives – the life God wills for them!  Our Center relies on a divine balance of faith and evidence based addiction counseling to help treat the deep rooted issues that lead to the addiction. As well, we feel called to have our students have a focus on education, life skills and teachings.  As we develop each of these areas in the lives of our students we are seeing them become better grounded and prepared for life after Teen Challenge.

"He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand". Psalm 40:2
